In the mouth of madness

We recently viewed an exhibit in the Fenimore Art Museum in Cooperstown NY.

Scott McKowen is a graphic arts illustrator designing, among other things, theater production posters.

He uses a scratchboard to literally scratch an image onto, then colors and prints it.

The exhibit we saw was of Shakespearean theater posters

This was the only one enclosed in glass, so some wonky reflections appeared.

The photographer (me) is both in and out of the mouth, and inside with me is a young fellow who was also in the room at the time, looking at a different poster.

I can't remember which play this was. Maybe The Tempest.

I liked his works a lot.

There's another photo of one in the first comment box.

Have a madly wonderful Sunday, all.
