The return of the waders!!
The beginning of spring is something I lookout for. My favorite birds are returning from the far south and gather in large amounts in the wetlands around the area where I live. They stay there for a couple of weeks to gather strength and find a partner, and then they move on to their breeding grounds.
Here you see two bird species, the black tailed godwits are all sleeping, tired from the long journey, and at this day I was lucky to see a large group of golden plovers (more than 1000 I estimate). A species I had seen before but not in this amount. Another exquisite little bird.
