An ancient city
Close to the city of Oaxaca (Mexico) are the remnants of a large city that the Spanish conquistadores called Monte Alban.
I visited this spot two years ago in the dry period, a little bit the wrong period because the ruins look nicer when you are in the rainy season when everything is greener. Although not as impressive (IMO) as the city of Teotihuacan near Mexico city where I was almost 20 years ago, this city makes a nice outing when you are in Oaxaca.
