To reflect or not to reflect, that's no question! (In Explore 20-07-2024)

I finally have processed the images of my Nepal trip. It was a lot of work that involved more than 4000 pictures. Now comes the hard part, which pictures to post on Flickr, because there are far too many to post all nice ones.

This shot I took when I was walking the Panchase trail, a three day hike around Pokhara, and it was taken on the hill top of a little village (Panchase Bhanyang) where I spent the night with the hope of seeing the massive the next day. Until then I hadn't seen the Himalayas, although I already was more than three weeks in Nepal. Fog/smog was obscuring the Himalayas everywhere where I had been.

So you can understand how happy I was when I got up around 5.30 to see the sunrise with the Annapurna massive very clear. I didn't know that this only would happen on 2 more days during the rest of my trip, being in the lower hills of Nepal.

When I was taking pictures of the massive early in the morning I remembered there was a small lake (for the live stock to drink) close by, so that was a nice opportunity to catch the reflections. It always gives a nice addition in a picture. I don't have to think long about that.
