A watchful neighbour

Often making a nice picture is just luck, and that was here. I had never seen a barn owl before, but in Nepal, in Pokhara, in the guesthouse where I stayed, I heard a lot of screaming during the first nights. It couldn't have been anything other than owls.

The next night I saw two shadows sitting on the roof of a neighboring hotel. Following morning I happened to see that one of the owls had rented a room from the neighbors.

Almost every morning and evening he/she was peeping outside, and at night this one (and some other barn owls) went on a raid. I waited 11 days for the right light, but it wasn't until the last day of my stay in Pokhara that during the golden hour it was there in the opening in the wall.
