Winterbirds
In the Netherlands, from time to time, especially in winter, birds occur that you do not actually see the rest of the year.
Redwings, brambling and fieldfares are among the winter visitors. This is also the case with the waxwing. Last year a pair was spotted in Hoek van Holland, and half of bird watching Netherlands jumped in the car to capture them.
I'm not that fanatic, but when two weeks ago there turned out to be a pair in Houten, I started to get the itch too. I went there for the first time on a Monday, and back on Wednesday because the sun was shining brightly!!
I was not the only one ๐, about 60 fanatics were jostling each other near a small walking path on a now very slippery lawn with a slope to a ditch. Fortunately, everyone was spared a wet suit.
Back with about 380 photos and then it is difficult to choose what to post here. It is a beautiful bird.
