The view from Monte Lagazuoi (In Explore 11-09-2022)
On my way to Cortina d'Ampezzo, I drove the Falzaregopass to discover that on top of that there was a telecabin elevator going up, and although not in my original plan for that day I decided to go up with it.
And that was the best thing I did because the view at 2752m (and further up) was incredible. You have here a 360 degrees view of the Dolomites, and in every direction the view has a completely different feel.
In this image the most prominent mountain is Monte Pelmo, a mountain that I also have photographed on its other side (the southern side).
It also had snowed a little the day before so I was walking through the first snow of the year.
I used a 155 mm telelens because that gives the best impression how impressive the landscape here was.
