Caught red handed (In Explore 02-03-2022)

Harriers are (for me) difficult to photograph. I'm either too late, or the wrong light, moved, too much contrast too little contrast, too far away, and when they see me they don't come any closer, and their flight is such that my autofocus often doesn't get it either.

With this one I saw her before she saw me, and the light came just right. She rose from the reeds, looked at me with a scathing look, and took off.

Unfortunately too late for her!!! (By the way, this is the female of the hen harrier, which unfortunately can hardly be admired in the Netherlands anymore, so I was really lucky).
