It was taken during the rutting season, a very exciting period not only for the males themselves, but also for the hordes of spectators, who enjoy the scenery. It is really a day outing to sit on a chair, have a sandwich and sausages and wait for the gladiators to come out.
And impressive they are, this guy certainly looks like not to fool around with.
