Ankeveens garden of eden

A week ago I discovered a new walking trail not far from home. This area is under guidance of Natuurmonumenten (Nature monuments) a foundation that has a lot of land area in the Netherlands with the goal of preserving what is left. This lovely spot is situated in a peat land area, and the lakes have been formed by digging out the peat for use as fuel in long forgotten times.
