The jewels of the valley

On the morning of the 18th day it was raining heavily, and it looked it was not going to get any better. I went for a few cups of coffee, looking outside all the time, making my mind up (should I go west in the direction of Bergen, should I cross the fjord to the other side which didn't look very pleasant under the circumstances, and with the weather predictions for coming days, or should I just hang around in a camp side that wasn't all together that interesting or diverting).

After several hours I decided to step into the car, and drive along the fjord, no specific goal in mind, just go west in the direction of Arnafjord. I couldn't find any information about the trip and just went for 20 km when I came across this.....!

Norway at its best, amazing scenery and I fell out of my car totally amazed. This is the first of loads of pictures that got even better because after 30 minutes the sun came through. Those pictures I will keep for later. I consider this one of the nicest ones I have shot, but it might be because of the stunning surprise I got during this day!

Lovely valleys, bare mountains and cold winds, snow packs, glaciers, beautiful lakes, and then there are the enchanting fjords that never stop to amaze. The most beautiful country of Europe, for me no doubt about that, with only one minor aspect, which is the weather. During my month of traveling I only had 4 really nice days, the rest of the time clouds, rain, and very changeable! Still no regret, and I will go back to make even more than the 3500 pictures that I took this time.

Another very active

vacation that took me to the south west up to Trondheim in a sort of triangle between Oslo- Trondheim and Bergen with the whole route visible here (www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10153668247101759&set...).
