Honey Highway
In daily life I am working for Rijkswaterstaat in the Netherlands (the organization responsible for all networks (waterways, roads), and although I am not connected to the project here, I am doing a project for myself to monitor the progress of the "honey highway' (A4 delft schipluiden). The banks and green areas around this highway have been seeded with wildflowers, to give honeybees more opportunities to get food, and try to save the bee (and butterfly) populations in the Netherlands, who have been declining in recent years. You can find more info on the project and some more pictures that I shot on www.honeyhighway.nl. The banks are btw now beautiful, there are vast amounts of poppies, and very different types as well. I may post more shots later this year, to show how it is progressing. Enjoy!
