Public transport over water

Yesterday I spent an agreeable afternoon observing a very large group of geese in a pond. From time to time a new group arrived (or left) with a lot of splashing and their noisy way of arriving clearly shows that many groups know and welcome each other! On the right of this pond there is a road they sometimes cross, and when they do want to cross they communicate with other geese in that part, to know if it is safe. When it is not, they squeak with a high pitch, NOT SAFE.

Another thing about these geese is that they are excellent parents. Here they are first and last, while the young are next to each other, closely packed, in what seems to me, the seats of a bus.
