Dover Harbour Station.
This station was opened in 1861 by the London Chatham & Dover Railway. It was closed in 1927. The train shed and platforms have been demolished, leaving just the main building which is used as offices and is Grade II listed. To the left of the tower on the hilltop is the magnificent Dover Castle, which is conspicuous from every approach to the town, and from most points within it. To the right of the tower on the cliff top within the castle grounds is the Victorian era New Officers Mess
