African Crested Porcupine

This porcupine inhabits areas of the Saharan Africa, North Africa and Italy and likes hilly, rocky terrain. The porcupines coarse quills range in size from 1 inch to 13 inches, and contrary to popular belief cannot actually shoot their quills. African Crested porcupines are nocturnal and offer climb trees as in this image example.
