Life in the Fast Current

Harlequin Ducks (Histrionicus histrionicus) are at home in swift current, choosing to forage and raise their young in the fast-flowing streams of central and western North America. On the east coast, these birds make due with the next best thing...inlets. I wanted to convey the element that these gorgeous ducks call home, so I lowered my shutter speed to add the movement of the water.
