Dawn of the Hunt

A Reddish Egret (Egretta rufescens) stalks some shallow tide pools as the sun begins to rise. Due to some wispy clouds and haze, the sun painted the background with some lovely pastel colors, which just seemed to fall in place with this equally stunning bird. Getting out before first light can really pay off!
