10-5-2012: Olafur Ragnar Grimsson , President of Iceland pictured at historic RossCastle in Killarney, Ireland on Thursday with local public representitive Donal Grady who gives a brief history to the president prior to his address at the European Cities Against Drugs conference in The Malton Hotel. Mr. Olafur is Patron to ECAD and the youth programme against drugs.
Ross Castle sits on the edge of Killarney's lower lake and was built by O'Donoghue Mór family in the 15th century and is now part of Killarney National Park. Ross Castle was the last stronghold in Munster to hold out against Cromwell. It was eventually taken by General Ludlow in 1652.
