Brief overview of technique:
Each piece is a fusion of digitally altered original photographs with vintage prayer cards (which have also been altered digitally.) To achieve the grainy, pulpy texture of these prints, I have chosen to hand print using different solvents and Xerox copies as my medium. Solvent Transfers have a unique flaw of almost impossible reproduction causing every pull to have dramatically different results. The uncertainty of this process combined with the absolute control of my camera and Photoshop make these pieces perfectly balanced.
