Baiga woman
The photo is taken in 2005. This woman lived selfsupporting in the jungle in the Maikal hills until around 2000. Because there was no water anymore the family was oblighed to come out the jungle. The government gave them a small piece of land to build a house.
Early in de morning a contractor comes to bring her and her husband to the city to carry stones for making buildings. The older children can't go to school because they have to take care of the younger children. This photo is taken at sunset when she came back.
