Jean K. Vega affirms his enlistment into the Air Force Delayed Entry Program at the San Juan Military Entrance Processing Station in Puerto Rico Jan. 24 while his father, Master Sgt. Carmelo Vega-Martinez, 333rd Recruiting Squadron, officially records his son's enlistment into the Air Force Delayed Entry Program. Jeans father, a 333rd RCS E-Flight chief with 17 years in the Air Force, attended the Flight Chief Workshop at Air Force Recruiting Service headquarters at Randolph Air Force Base, Texas, during his son's enlistment and landed the rare opportunity of booking his son into the Air Force. Jean is scheduled to attend military basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, June 12, after which he will attend technical school where he will train as a tactical aircraft maintenance mechanic.
