Sparrowhawk female with prey
Was privileged to be able to watch this beautiful bird at very close proximity for a full 35 minutes yesterday. It was in the middle of town and is obviously used to the traffic and pedestrians as it feeds on the many feral pigeons. So glad I had my camera in the car! Don't recall ever taking so many shots of one creature... over 350! Managed to get it down to 150.. but it was an opportunity that will probably never happen again. God job I don't shoot on continuous...!
