CLYDESDALE 'WHITEHILLS BLEU' AIRBORNE ELEGANCE!

The Clydesdale is a breed of Heavy Horse noted for its high-stepping, showy action and calm temperament. A gentle giant but they are slightly lighter in weight and smaller than a Shire Horse and originate from farms in Scotland. Unfortunately the Clydesdale is considered to be a rare breed and at risk.

One of my earliest memories of contact with horses was as a small boy over 60 years ago when I used to daily walk alongside a local farmer and his grey (looks white) turning up sugar beet - I was always disappointed when the field was done! I wonder if the horse was a Clydesdale and wish I could remember his/her name. I also remember discovering Fox cubs outside their den on the edge of the same field. Fond memories!
