Hierarchy of Needs
I chose this as an example of the Hierarchy of needs, this is an old clock, not a sundial or candle clock, but a representation of the near middle ground of how we define time.
Why I chose this one, is because we don't necessarily need time, but it is a helpful organization tool that is simple to use, and has been innovated several times (hehe pun) throughout it's existence.
