Threat Detection
Fallout 3, in this game threat detection more often than not is simply seeing your enemy, as it could easily be a easily dispatchable radroach, or it could be a Super Mutant Brute aiming his mini gun at your tiny body.
Either way, Fallout has a good way to display threat detection besides your own sense of sight; when you sneak in the game, there is a little message written at the top that displays if the enemy is going to attack you or not. It starts with hidden, then caution, and DANGER. Obviously when you reach danger, the threat detection was successful, but your sneaking was not.
