Conceptual Photography
Photography is something I am continuously working. This is a photo I have recently took as not part of assignment but something I found to be very conceptual and artistic, I enjoy thinking of ideas and philosophy behind art; I came across these old photos of my mothers in two tatty frames, I found them to be such simple yet such strong images of parts of my family tree, I never knew anything about these people until know and it gave me a strange feeling. I had an urge to use them in someway and chose to present them together and used an empty frame next to it, this was to signify some loss, a loss of connection, me not being alive yet? I don't fully know it just seemed fitting. I used a very simple and my less megapixel camera and also edited the photo on Photoshop again to give it an old looked with scratches and specks. This made it even more effected I feel.
