Solstice day Milky Way

A blended shot with Lanyon Quoit in the foreground and the Milky Way an hour later. The orange glow on the left is the remains of the north-westerly sunset at midnight.

I was concentrating so much on the bright starry sky that I didn't notice the ground fog creeping in over the darkness and by the time I had finished I could barely find the path out to the road.
