Happy Solstice
A bit of a dark and gloomy official beginning to winter. I went out with the hope of capturing a solstice sunset - willing the clouds to part even for a few minutes. Behind me there were patches of blue sky but to the south-west were unrelenting grey clouds. I also wanted to have another go at photographing the "great conjunction" of Jupiter and Saturn just after sunset, but it looks like I might have to wait another 400 years for that to happen.
I did see a report of Stonehenge live-streaming the sunset to sunrise as no-one was allowed into the site this year (not that I would have gone anyway). I suppose watching a black computer screen for 16 hours from your couch is going to be much more comfortable than being there!
