Moonrise over Zennor
I've been itching to get out to photograph the night sky again for weeks, but I've been beaten by clouds. Tonight was going to be THE clear night according to the weather apps, so I rushed out with nothing much in mind except to try out my new lens warmer. This is supposed to keep off the dew and stop the lens fogging up. It seemed to work. There was a lovely moon rising (unfortunately it was cloudy at full moon a few nights ago), but of course I had the wrong lens to do justice to the moon. Anyway, with the rising of the moon came the inevitable cloud. The orange glow is reflected light from St Ives about 8 miles away. I did get a picture of the Pleiades star cluster (top right). Looking at the positive side I don't have to wait until midnight for dark skies at present.
