4967 S. US Highway 1, Fort Pierce, FL - Towne South Plaza
This Winn-Dixie opened in 1986 as one of the original prototype Marketplace stores (which is why this building was built using the older 70's/early 80's Winn-Dixie design). This store served as a replacement for an older Winn-Dixie store located at 7159 US Hwy 1, located three miles south of here. While I think this store was remodeled inside sometime in the early-mid 90's, you'd be hard pressed to believe that, as the interior color scheme looks like something out of 1986!
Looking from floral toward the deli counter. The raised ceiling ends right after the floral counter, leaving the deli under the regular drop ceiling found throughout the rest of the store.
