Grusldeve, Abomination of Sludge
INDIVIDUAL: ABOMINATION: The Grusldeve is an Abomination that resides in the Sea of Sludge, a body of disgusting, slimy, brownish and acidic liquid which borders the Gomorran Desert Plane in the Underworld and is the home and/or place of origin of aquatic–type demons such as the Goryshu… and this thing. The Grusldeve is a 300–foot–tall/long monster that is mentioned by name in the Next Testament and lurks beneath the Sea of Sludge, emerging from it only once every twenty four hours, and for only a few minutes. When it does so, the Grusldeve erupts violently from the sludge and reveals its form, that of a grotesque, heavy–set cylindrical figure with a discernible head and pair of arms, and several tails/fins/tentacles at its bottom. This body exhibits a predominance of greenish colors, and its durability value is 70,000. The surface of the Grusldeve's body is naturally smooth and waxy, making most of the sludge that it is totally immersed in 99% of the time simply slide off of it. However, the monster has the ability to (and often does) transmogrify its own surface to have a more absorbent texture at will, in which case it absorbs copious amounts of sludge into massive pores that start opening up all over its body, engorging itself to a swollen size, before emerging to spew all of the sludge out of its mouth, either up into the air or into the Gomorran Desert.
Whenever it emerges above the sludge's surface, the Grusldeve does one or more of several random things, one of which is what was described immediately above.
Another, more dangerous action, is when the beast channels a great amount of energy onto a point against the muddy liquid directly below itself, allowing the monster to hover in place for a limited amount of time. In this time, the Abomination generates large blue orbs of explosive Infernal Energy mixed together with the essence of the sludge, and throws them towards the Gomorran Desert, where they burst on impact with an explosion of particularly acidic sludge that is hundreds of feet in blast diameter and is, in truly cruel irony, nearly identical in outward appearance to normal water despite being highly deadly to the touch and even corrosive to solid stone. Many of the strange shapes found in the rock and mountain formations of the Gomorran Desert are results of corrosion caused by these projectiles of the Grusldeve's.
On some occasions, the Grusldeve will start swimming tight, rapid laps around the landmass that is the Gomorran Desert, splashing sludge onto all of its shores. Other times, it simply emits a tremendously loud, deep–pitched roaring sound, which creates a physical quake of fair magnitude throughout the Gomorran Desert and can be heard all throughout the rest of the Underworld. And still other times, it spontaneously opens up a temporary wormhole to a random location in the Prime Galaxy and starts splashing and shoveling gallons of sludge into it. This particular action is the most harmful to mortals out of all things the Grusldeve does, especially considering that the acidity of the sludge can be deadly to certain races, but it is still minor compared to what other Abominations are capable of (and only by that comparison). Overall, the Grusldeve is actually fairly harmless (again, by comparison only). It does not appear to be sapient, for its behavior is random and often pointless, rather than constructively malignant.
Many have referred to the Grusldeve as the "Fifth Dark Lord", and this label is arguably more fitting for the Abomination than for any other being, as it occupies a specific location in the Underworld, as the actual Four Dark Lords do, and is the closest thing that part of the Underworld has to a "ruler"; its animalistic, idiot nature certainly reflects that of the Gomorran Desert.
