It's Himself, Mr Cub, Ernie "let's play two" Banks
Ernie Banks is a great fan favorite in Chicago. He played for the Chicago Cubs from September 1953-1973. He never played for any other major league baseball club. However, he did play for the Kansas City Monarchs in 1950-1953. That team was in the Negro League. Mr Banks was the first African-American baseball player for the Cubs. He is also in the Baseball Hall of Fame & was inducted in 1977, the first year he was eligible.
