Backyard Birdie (Purple Finch)
I have recently set up a bird feeder. It seems to have acted a bit slowly, since only the occasional bird would come and feed, but then I found out why. The squirrels found it as well and they would raid and pillage the feeder, leaving little for the birds. I guess I have now been initiated into the anti-squirrel world and have started to think of ways to outsmart the squirrels. I have acquired a "squirrel-proof" feeder as well as having a squirrel baffle on the way. With these paired up, I am hoping to limit the effect the squirrels have on the birds. With just the feeder, the amount of birds have increased and become a little more comfortable with the feeder.
I have no clue what kind of bird this is, but all I know is that it is a pretty one! I see these quys quite often at my feeder and hope to see them some more.
Enjoy! :)
