Marine Nationale Commandant L'Herminier F791; Firth of Clyde, Scotland

The French D'Estienne d'Orves-class, also known as the A-69 type, is comparable in size to a light corvette, mainly designed for coastal anti-submarine defence. The Commandant L'Herminier was laid down in 1979, launched in 1980 and commissioned in 1982. She is one of nine currently in service with the French navy. She is shown here heading down the Clyde to take part in the 2018 NATO Joint Warrior exercise.
