Super-Fresh Snow & Cool Arctic Gold

Thanks to everyone who took the trouble to view, comment or fave

Last year I drove around this bay at least twice daily for over a week.

On one day the water was like a mirror and there was blue sky with intermittent puffy white clouds like cotton wool - it was simply stunning - I wasn't driving so couldn't stop and have regretted that missed opportunity ever since!

This golden late afternoon light being reflected amongst pure snow white coated bits of ice looked even better to me.

I remember a while ago reading about George Michael opening the door of his Range Rover & falling out whilst being driven along in the fast lane of the M1 at around 70. I remember feeling very sorry for him and imagining that he must have had serious issues at the time.

Well, do you know, when I first saw this I had only one thought which was JUST OPEN THE DOOR, GET OUT OF THE CAR & GET THIS SHOT NOW!!!

Luckily you can't go very much over 40 on the E10 unless you're barking mad or suicidal, and of course it's not as busy as the fast lane of the M1 plus there's plenty of snow to cushion you if you do fall out.

I didn't fall out but would have happily done so to get this.

5 minutes after this the light on the mountains in the background had gone & 5 minutes after that everything was just dull - you just have to act quickly in this game don't you? (or live a life rueing wasted opportunities)

Always nice to be dictated to by sheer beauty and light rather than getting just another cliche - I already get my fair share of those - we have to do them don't we??? :)
