Blooming Boulder on Edison Dam
We drove up to lake Edison from Mono Hotsprings in the rain. We ate lunch in the car and watched the storm clouds begin to break up. Blue sky gradually gave way to a dark sky. Huge storm clouds were pushed around the mountain tops. Some long, thin clouds hung down below the peaks. After lunch the rain stopped and the lighting was marvelous. As I walked along the top of the dam I came across this extraordinary view of a boulder and flowers with a background of peaks and storm clouds. I hoped that I could express even a fraction of the beauty in a photograph.
