Red w/ Blinking Green

This looks like a type 2, but is actually a cropped type 1.

 

I suspect that the blinking effect is caused by bits of pyrotechnic that spin as they move. A less likely possibility would be bits, like mini-jawbreakers, that burn through multiple layers.

 

Note: The odd color of the sky is probably a combination of long exposure + 100% cloud overcast + Sodium Vapor city lights.
