Fragile X Syndrome Inheritance - Normal
Fragile X Syndrome Inheritance
Non-symptomatic Parents
(Both parents with normal genes)
Each child inherits one-half of each pair of their 23rd chromosome from each parent. For boys the father must contribute the 'y' since the mother doesn't have any 'y' to contribute. Therefore the mother contributes the boy's 'x' half.
For girls, one 'x' comes from their father and one from their mother.
