Green woodpecker (Grünspecht) female at diner time

At dusk ... Mrs Grünspecht is having a diner (of ants?) in a community garden (kleingarten) in Neukölln district.

 

While Green woodpeckers are usually quite shy (typically much more than Great spotted woodpeckers), this lady let me take as many shots as wanted, frantically digging the ground in search of ants or other insects. Its funny to see how active are these woodpeckers once they are on the ground. They are way calmer in the trees.
