Greater withetroat male (Dorngrasmücke) singing in Tempelhofer Feld shrubs, Berlin

Had to come a few days in a row to get at least a decent shot at the end. Despite its noisy attitude, the Greater whitethroat is quite a shy bird that does not easily let people approach.

The shrubs in the middle of Tempelhofer feld are a refuge for several birds that you would not expect to live inside such a big city : whinchats, stonechats, red-backed shrikes, lesser and greater whitethroats, corn bunting are a few of the secret inhabitants of this small but precious area. Coming repeatedly, and some patience can give you a chance to get a closer look to these little fellows.
