Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral
Known locally as Paddy’s Wigwam, Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral was designed by the English architect, town planner and landscape designer Frederick Gibberd (1908-84). Building began in October 1962, and the completed Cathedral was consecrated less than five years later, on the Feast of Pentecost, Sunday 14th May 1967.
