Taking a dip - Art Deco style
A glamorous, indulgent way to enjoy a bath - or a brutal one? I imagine a compulsory flute of champagne perched on the ledge.
This is the Art Deco bath within the ladies bathroom in the historical Everglades home. Located in Leura, Blue Mountains, west of Sydney.
The original owner of the site was a Georgina Stonier, who had built the first house on the site in 1923. Subsequent owner, Belgian-born Henri Van de Velde, kept the name and set about adding to/improving the house and gardens.
Including a 'his' and 'hers' bathroom.
