Fuji blues
View to Fuji-san from Mori Contemporary Art Museum observation deck in Tokyo.
The distance between the two is approximately 130 km.
The volcano is not always visible from the city and this was a delightful and exciting surprise. Visible is the top half, covered in snow. I think the mountain range is part of the Chichibu-Tama-Kai National Park.
The next day, we took the Shinkansen bullet train to Lake Kawaguchiko at the base of the mighty Fuji-san.
