Pink and perfumed

I took this macro shot of what I believe is Rhaphiolepis indica, commonly known as Indian hawthorn.

The small flowers were profuse and abundant with a sweet scent, but I wanted to capture the very pretty pink and petite size of just one.

Indian hawthorn is a rounded, compact and robust evergreen shrub. It produces leathery, shiny, dark green leaves. Flowers appear mostly in spring and then also in summer. They are followed by small, non-toxic blue berries.

Flower 15 mm diameter.
