Fall webworms
Seen at night, a collection of fall webworms, the larvae of the moth Hyphantria cunea, within family Erebidae.
What was extra special about this sighting was that I got to observe the synchronous movement of these little larvae for which they are known.
Length 30 to 35 mm.
