Salvia and dewdrops

A visit to the Royal Botanic Gardens in Sydney provided many glorious sights and one of the first things that caught my eye after getting there at 7.30 am (I'm keen!) was a Salvia with dynamic colour against the darker foliage.

As it was early morning there was lots of dew that provided bokeh interest as well.

Salvia is the largest genus of plants in the sage family Lamiaceae, with nearly 1000 species of shrubs, herbaceous perennials, and annuals.
