Party time
What looks like a dragonfly in high spirits and full party mode is in fact a moment captured of some very thorough grooming. Using its forelegs...long, sweeping movements are made over the eye surface and at times the legs remain behind the eyes for a second or two.
Fascinating to spend a while watching this process. It was incredibly hot at this time and I welcomed the rest.
