Ferndale CA 29

"Ferndale" is the name of this house from the 1850's and the town was named after it. It is an extremely rare 1850's survivor in the Gothic Revival style. During the California gold rush it is documented that several Gothic cottages were built on the East Coast and sent by ship in sections for re-assembly. This one was locally built however and an outstanding example.
