Reenactors from Company A of the 3rd Maine Infantry Regiment present arms for the cameras in front of a recreation of a Kennebec Central Railroad mixed train during the June 2025 "Road to Togus" event at Maine's Wiscasset, Waterville & Farmington Railway Museum in Alna, ME. This event commemorates the service of the 2-foot gauge, Kennebec Central Railroad, which served the National Soldier's Home in Togus, ME from 1890 to 1929. During those years, Togus was home to countless Civil War veterans and the little railroad provided them with a means to get to and from the nearby City of Randolph. The WW&F Railway Museum has a strong connection to the KCRR as Locomotive #9 served the KCRR as their #4 from 1924 until the line closed in 1929.
