Drifting into the Leaky Leaky Valley
After cresting the hill at Oblivion, the Black Hills Central Railroad's 5PM excursion train begins the long, downhill drift toward Keystone with Locomotive #110 on the point with Engineer and railroad CMO Mike Grimm on the throttle. The locomotive is blowing for yet another crossing of Old Hill City Road, this one being the 6th time on this trip at about Mile Marker 5.0. The train is about to enter a long, open meadow, known as the "Leaky Leaky Valley."
